The Glamping Show 2020

Peter Rusbridge introduces a new look Glamping Show for 2020.

Glamping Show EventPreparations for the Glamping Show 2020 are well underway with the event due to take place at NAEC Warwickshire on 17-19 of September. The exhibitor list continues to grow, and the move to an online seminar programme is drawing speakers from across the country.

In compliance with the guidelines given by the government, every precaution is being taken to keep exhibitors and guests safe. The Glamping Show team has taken advice from all available sources and is confident of staging a successful and enjoyable event. A full list of health and safety preparations, which is frequently updated in response to continued government guidance, can be found on the Glamping Show website.

Among the many changes to this year’s show are specific arrival times, downloadable tickets and bookable car parking spaces meaning entry to the event will be as quick and efficient as possible, eliminating large queues.

The layout of the show has also changed, with more of an emphasis on open spaces, including wider gangways, outdoor catering and a one-way system running throughout the exhibition. This is to make sure that guests can maintain a safe social distance.

Health & Safety officers will also be present throughout the show to assist with social distancing and respond to any issues should they arise.

Karen Cooke, MD of organiser Swan Events, said: “The show will have to look very different, but safety is the key concern and the correct protocols will have to be put in place. The important thing is that we can get together again and have the chance to see and evaluate the latest products and services and reinforce the business relationships and friendships that have been so difficult during lockdown.”

Visit and virtual

One of the more notable changes this year is that, in addition to the physical event, the Glamping Show 2020 will be taking place online.

This means that visitors who are unable to travel to Stoneleigh in September will still be able to browse companies and products via enhanced listings and information, view all seminars and presentations on demand, and take part in the Great Glamping Debate.

Enhanced exhibitor listings will be available online and will allow people unable to attend to learn about the exhibitors at the show along with the products and services they are offering. Alongside these enhanced listings will be the ability to book an appointment at the show, request information and schedule calls.

The online seminar programme will give visitors flexibility to view at their leisure and allow access to those further afield. This year’s seminar programme will be organised by sister publication International Glamping Business and its publisher Steph Curtis-Raleigh. This new and improved system has drawn speakers from across the country who are eager to take part.

“The changes we are making to the seminar programme and the addition of the online networking experience were initially implemented in response to the coronavirus pandemic,” says Karen. “However, the more we get to grips with these new systems, the more we see that they are a great way to reach an even larger audience.”

Since the lockdown began, the hospitality sector has been plagued with uncertainty and a lack of information. The Glamping Show provides the ability to get up to date with what’s been happening in the world of glamping, from new products to vital information on how to bounce back and thrive after the reopening.
