Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars has launched #holidaysforgood to donate breaks to hundreds of frontline NHS workers.
Over 200 two-night breaks at British hotels, B&Bs, cottages, treehouses, cabins and more, have been generously donated by Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars owners, with more being donated every day. An additional £25,000 worth of Canopy & Stars vouchers will also be given away to a 500 further NHS workers, to give as many as possible the opportunity of a much-needed break.
Members of the public can nominate anyone working for the NHS or they can nominate themselves by visiting sawdays.co.uk/holidays-for-good. Recipients of the holidays and vouchers will be drawn at random on 2 June 2020.
“Having watched the events unfold over the last few weeks, there is one group of people that stand out as the true heroes of this pandemic, the frontline staff of the NHS who are risking their own lives every day to save those of others,” says Mike Bevens, managing director of Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars. “We wanted to find a way that we, as a travel company, can support them. Inspired by Sawday’s and Canopy & Stars owners who have already started donating stays and holidays to those working on the frontline, we decided to launch #holidaysforgood.
“We’re asking people to nominate your NHS heroes for a free stay at a Sawday’s or Canopy & Stars place; we’re also giving away 500 Canopy & Stars Gift Cards worth £50, to help give as many people as we can the opportunity of a restorative escape.”
