Safeguarding the ‘Business’ Use of Hot Tubs

British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub AssociationThe British and Irish Spa and Hot Tub Association (BISHTA) has recently developed the HSG 282 document in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive to provide guidance on operating and maintaining hot tubs used in business settings, including glampsites. Along with this work, BISHTA has created factsheets, training and advice for owners and managers of glampsites and holiday parks on what is needed for their ‘business’ use.

BISHTA was established in 2001 to promote high standards of safety, enjoyment and value of hot tubs and spas by registering suppliers and recruiting holiday accommodation providers with hot tub facilities to join its membership. Guests of member glampsites will be reassured that their holiday hot tub is maintained to BISHTA standards by an owner that is suitably trained to do so.
