EPS and Confex bounce back in style, welcoming over 14,000 event planners and organisers
In complete contrast to 2018, with glorious sun filling the exhibition halls at Olympia on 26 and 27 February, Mash Media welcomed more than 18,000 guests over two days, across three stand out shows; International Confex, Event Production Show (EPS) and The PA Show.
International Confex was launched in 1983 and is a meeting place for planners and suppliers to the events industries. It serves as the UK’s leading showcase of all that makes events great, and this year welcomed just shy of 8,000 unique visitors. The Event Production Show offered inspiration to more than 6,000 delegates. A leading exhibition for the live event sector, it provides one of the largest buying forums for the events industry, with hundreds of suppliers under one roof.
Liz Agostini, event director of International Confex, was thrilled with the overall results and feedback from customers. “Within five minutes of doors opening, meaningful conversations were taking place and deals were being instigated. The team at Mash Media was determined to deliver for our customers and put on a show that our industry could again be proud of. The feedback we have received has been overwhelmingly positive and has seen the highest level of re-books we have experienced since we purchased the show in 2013. This puts us in a fantastic position as we start the exciting planning phase to take our events to ExCeL London in 2020.”
Duncan Siegle, exhibition director for The Event Production Show, said: “It was fantastic to see the hard work of the show team, speakers and exhibitors rewarded by such highly engaged shows. The quality of exhibits was extremely high and this helped deliver events that our visitors really enjoyed. After the bad luck of last year, it was excellent to see the power of EPS in full flow. We are already deep in planning to carry on this success at ExCeL London in 2020.”
Julian Agostini, managing director of Mash Media, commented: “This was a really positive week for Mash Media which reconfirmed our passion and desire to deliver for our customers and the communities our exhibitions, events and publications serve. These are exciting times for us with opportunities to build our existing brands and to explore new ideas as we expand our team and develop our capabilities.”
International Confex and The Event Production Show will take place on Tuesday 25 – Wednesday 26 February 2020 at ExCeL London.
