Venue: The Dreys wedding venue
Description: An exclusive wedding venue located in secluded woodland close to London with glamping facilities
Structure: Celeste Pole Marquee for wedding receptions and parties
Hired/Purchased: Purchased
Details: David and Jackie run an exclusive wedding venue in their 80 acres of secluded woodland. Ceremonies are placed within their ‘Field Shelter’, receptions in their marquee and overnight guests accommodated in bell tents, shepherds huts and the ‘Woodcutter’s Lodge’.
They started off by hiring giant tipis, but were won over by the elegance and space the Celeste Pole Marquee gave. Their brides agreed, with four out of five opting for the Celeste over a giant tipi.
Barkers Marquees supplied a 12m x 18m Celeste Pole Marquee with rounded ends. This elegant structure was made using textured PVC, which gives the appearance of canvas but is easier to clean and maintain. David and his team took advantage of the free training session on construction, de-rigging and maintenance when they collected their new marquee.
David said he was very impressed with the marquee. It is pitched in a wooded clearing on the brow of a hill. He rushed up from the house one stormy night and was surprised to find the marquee solid and standing. The wind measured 68mph on his meter. The marquee is designed to withstand wind loaded to 70mph (subject to ground conditions).
Feedback: Jackie said: “We are loving our marquee and literally couldn’t be happier with it! Bookings are crazy; almost full for next season.”

Venue: Undisclosed
Description: We were delighted to work in association with leading event planner Stones Events to create this stunning venue for a New Year’s Eve wedding
Structure used: A 15 x 30m premium curved roof marquee was used for the main party area fitted with flat white linings and clear roofs and gables. An additional 10 x 25m structure was supplied for the dining area where the wedding breakfast was served as well as ancillary marquees to house back of house areas, toilets and cloakrooms
Hired/Purchased: Hired
Details: The main reception structure featured a curved roof in alternating clear and white flat roof linings. The focal point of the room was a breathtaking floral island set in the middle of a white dance floor on a backdrop of silver grey carpet. The room was further flooded with light from floor length glass wall panels on all sides.
From the reception area, a beautiful walkway led the guests through a series of curved draped panels, revealing behind them an elegant and sophisticated dining area with bespoke grey pleated linings.
Later the reception area was transformed into a chic club with dramatic lighting highlighting mirrored bars, grey and white leather chill out areas and an outside decking area with custom built glass handrail. The clear roof allowed guests to enjoy the midnight fireworks in the warmth of this contemporary marquee on one of the biggest party nights of the year.
Feedback: “Fews were great to work on this wedding with. The design of the marquee used the space within the client’s garden really well, and the plan was sympathetic to the needs of the wedding. The client was so happy with the structure and the overall look that was created. Overall, Fews are great to work with. They have the necessary equipment to provide amazing, functional marquee spaces and they are always on hand to help and answer any questions we have.”
