Planning consent has been given for a new wedding venue at Llangedwyn Barn on the Shropshire/Powys border.
Working on behalf of Llangedwyn Estate and Cripps & Co, a business specialising in restoring barns and walled gardens for weddings and events, property specialist Carter Jonas was appointed to secure permission for the redevelopment of the site.
Edward Sample, consultant for Carter Jonas, said: “This has been an extremely exciting project to work on; the redevelopment will breathe new life into a number of under-utilised agricultural buildings while celebrating the beauty, durability and continuing appeal of the structures and their location. Additionally, in many rural areas, restorations such as this provide fresh opportunities for nearby businesses and have a positive impact on the local economy.”
The venue will feature an exclusive entertaining space with open kitchen, indoor BBQ, rotisseries, an Argentinian style Asado grill and fire pits in the courtyard. Llangedwyn Barn joins seven other venue properties in Cripps & Co’s portfolio.
