Devon-based company Candled has launched a patented LED flame technology that recreates the qualities of a real flame without any health and safety issues. The artificial flame mimics the spectral quality and flickering of a traditional candle. Made of real wax, the candle itself is hard to distinguish from the real thing. It doesn’t generate any heat so can be used in all environments, including inside marquees, tents, under duvets and outside in wind and rain. It has an expected life of 50,000 hours, has four levels of brightness and can be activated by remote control.
