‘It Could Never Happen to Me’

NOEAThe National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) has unveiled further details of the speaker line up for its annual convention on 21 November at The Guildhall, Bath. Following the theme, ‘It Could Never Happen to Me’, the event will see Bev Osbourne, Training for Resilience, lead a live workshop for delegates, placing them in the middle of a major event crisis in an interactive session to see how prepared we are as an industry for major issues and threats.

Louise Wilson and Ben-Julian Harrington will look specifically at the major threats facing event organisers in 2019 as part of the morning session, while NOEA Award winner Linda Krawecke, Tiger Tea, will also share her experiences looking after young victims of crime at festivals.

The speakers will follow on from the keynote address by multiple industry award winner Dick Tee, EnteeTainment, who will share his own experiences of ‘It Could Never Happen to Me’ from across his illustrious career. The convention will also include a number of panel discussions as well as personal experiences from event organisers.

“We want to create a safe space for event professionals to share their own experiences and most importantly what they learned from them,” commented Andy Grove, president NOEA. “We’ve already got some brilliant speakers for the convention, it’s going to be NOEA at our very best, and we’re looking forward to meeting members and non-members at the event.”
