Now your guests can sleep under the stars and enjoy heavenly dreams in Anthropod’s new Star Gazer pod. Designed with dark sky venues in mind, the Star Gazer comes in either two or four berth configurations in 5m and 7m lengths. It can be sunk into the ground to blend into the landscape, and uses sedum roofs to lessen environmental impact. The larger pod features up to 5.5sq m of glazed roof and has an overall footprint of 18.2sq m. The smaller pod has 3.7sq m of glazing and a gross external floor area of 13.2sq m.
The clever undulating roof design by industrial designer and Anthropod CEO, Rik Currie, offers hoteliers and park operators high density accommodation combined with customer privacy. A group of pods can be easily placed together in adjacent left and right handed configurations to give a ‘flowing’ roof feature, providing privacy for each occupant. The sleeping arrangements are configured so that residents sleep under the stars. Each pod has its own wet room (WC/shower/basin) and small kitchenette for tea/coffee making.
The Star Gazer is in its final design stages and is expected to be ready for sale in the autumn of this year. The designs have been registered and prices will be announced shortly. www.anthropods.co.uk
