Details: When Ali Oezcan, sales manager for Röder HTS, Turkey, asked us if this job was possible, there could only be one answer – yes! Even though this was mid-November and the installation had to be completed by Christmas.
Ali’s client, a major hotel group in Cyprus, wanted to use a swimming pool and sun deck area for putting on shows and entertainments during the winter season. The plan was to install a 20x25m Röeder HTS GZ Clearspan structure complete with integrated steel sub-frame floor, covering the swimming pool and positioned adjacent to an entertainments stage.
The swimming pool was drained of water, and despite its irregular shape and varying depth levels, it proved to be no problem for the FloorStak and iStak support system. Rubber pads were provided to prevent damage to the pool floor, and despite the very tight timescale all the necessary parts were shipped and installed in time for the 2019 New Year’s Eve inaugural event.
Feedback: Ali said it was difficult to see how the job could have been done without the FloorStak system and the prompt action of our team.

Details: London commemorated the outbreak of World War I by filling the Tower of London’s moat with a sea of poppies. Although this event was not anywhere near the largest that GT Trax undertook in 2018, it was one that the company was very proud to play a small part in.
GT Trax was commissioned by Historic Royal Palaces to provide a 1,200mm wide (and nearly 1,000m in length) walkway to safely guide visitors and participants around the Tower before, during and after the ceremonies.
Following an initial enquiry email from the event organiser, GT Trax put forward several flooring options including LuxTrax, LiteTrax and the very popular and versatile Walkover system. After much deliberation and discussion it was decided that the Walkover product would be ideal.
The Walkover mats have a unique interlocking flooring system which is very hardwearing and features an officially certified anti-slip top surface. Each mat is finished in black and is manufactured in Europe from recycled PVC. Walkover mats measure 1,200x700x20mm and have a weight load capacity of 750kg depending on the underlying ground conditions. They are clipped together without the need for tools or any special skills.
As there were strict time constraints to complete the walkway. GT Trax put together two gangs of installers with a forklift operator assigned to each gang. This was to ensure that the plan was completed in accordance with the client’s stipulations.

Details: The organisers of the major motor sport festivals Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival (as well as other major events) had previously rented in heavy duty metal trackway at considerable expense to protect the main access routes through the exhibitors’ campsite. Early in 2014 it was decided to use PERFO-AK Anchor Tiles from S2T Group’s ground reinforcement range to provide a long term solution for the main access track through the southern part of the area.
The PERFO-AK Anchor Tiles were clipped together and compacted into the existing grass surface with a combination of heavy duty compactor plates and vibrating rollers. As a result, the track could then withstand intense traffic including vans and large motorhomes, despite some heavy downpours during the various events, which cause other areas without any reinforcement to become badly rutted.
The track reinforced with PERFO-AK Anchor Tiles has now been in frequent use for approximately five years since initial installation.
