A Greener Festival (AGF) trained its largest ever group of event industry professionals through its online environmental assessor training in June.
Event organisers from music, mass participation sports, city councils as well as venue operators, tour managers and government advisors took part from nine different countries.
Created four years ago in partnership with Falmouth University and Cambridge Education Group, who provide the digital platform, the training was developed so that AGF could provide it to a network of assessors for the 50+ events it audits globally each year.
“The success of this training indicates that more and more industry professionals are working to reduce the environmental impact of events,” said director Teresa Moore. “It is incredibly encouraging for the future of the industry”.
